Durga Puja - the ceremonial worship of the mother goddess, is one of the most important festivals of India. Apart from being a religious festival for the Hindus, celebration of traditional culture and customs. While ten days of fast, feast and worship,but the last four days - Saptami, Ashtami, Navami and Dashami - are celebrated with much gaiety and grandeur in India and abroad, especially in Bengal, where the ten-armed goddess riding the lion is worshipped with great passion and devotion.

The First Durga Puja in Bengal:


The first grand worship of Goddess Durga in recorded history is said to have been celebrated in the late 1500s. Folklores say the landlords or zamindar of Dinajpur and Malda initiated the first Durga Puja in Bengal. According to another source, Raja Kangshanarayan of Taherpur or Bhabananda Mazumdar of Nadiya organized the first Sharadiya or Autumn Durga Puja in Bengal in c 1606.

Durga Puja Comes to Bhiwadi:


Bengalis comes to the city Bhiwadi and form a committee named Bhiwadi Cultural Assotiation (B.C.A.). First time the members of this association started sarbajanin Durga Puja in c.1988, at Sec-3, R.H.B.Colony, Durga Park. At that time few Bengali member along with support of residents of Bhiwadi, Govt. Dept. & All esteemed Organisation for their valuable guidance and co-operation to make the Durga Puja a grand success.

The member of association on this auspicious Durga Puja Festival cordially invite you along with your family and friends in our Sector-3, Housing Board, Durga Park Puja Pandal to seek the Blessings of Goddess Durga.

I, on the behalf of Bhiwadi Cultural association extend my gratitude for giving me this opportunity to express my heartiest thanks to all the members and residents of Bhiwadi.
In the wake of today’s international scenario. I would like to emphasize on the motto of our association to maintain harmony and peace. The Puja celebration of goddess Durga is the symbol to conquer good over evil, the triumph of truth over lies .It brings us to a realization that war and terrorism does not lead us to anywhere. I hope that all of us would live together in peace and make this world a better place.
With this note, I would heartily wish that we all be showered with the goodness choicest blessing and may this festival bring us a lot of joy, happiness, and hope for a better tomorrow.

We are very happy to know that, this year also we have been unanimously selected as a general secretary of Bhiwadi Cultural Association. We are extremely grateful to all residents of bhiwadi and advertiser for their continuous Co-operation and support for 36th time Durga puja at R.H.B,-3 Durgapark for 27th times in Bhiwadi Cultural Association.
